The CEO was very upset.
He was fast losing control & popularity. Drastic steps were needed but he did not have the b***s to take them. So, like a cry-baby he went running to the Chairman.
Ok, ok ….. let’s start at the beginning. He was the CEO of Silly Inc. and his name was Airwind Catchtheball. Airwind had a problem with his COO who went by the name of Andshoe Bracash. The COO accused Airwind’s goons ( yes, the CEO had goons too) of manhandling him. He along with his reportees stopped attending meetings called by Airwind and his supporter Directors.
That was the start of Airwind’s woes. He wrung his hands in despair and along with a couple of directors aligned to him, went crying to the Chairman’s Office. The Chairman, Onil Buysell refused to meet Airwind and his cronies and Airwind being Airwind decided to stay put in the Chairman’s Office till the Chairman would direct the COO and team members to obey the orders of Airwind. Days rolled by, but the Chairman feigned being busy, watching serials during the day & World Cup football at night. He had no time for Airwind.
Time was running out. The two cronies of Airwind had to be hospitalised as they did not eat the tasteless food which was available in the Chairman’s Office canteen and their sugar levels went down. Now questions were being raised about how the CEO could stay in the Chairman’s Office, when he was entitled to 5-Star accommodation when on tour. Another question arose as to whether it was a tour at all & if it was duly approved. Airwind’s mobile too had run out of charge and so he couldn’t tweet anymore. The regulator started questioning the CEO’s dumb act of ineptness.
CEOs of some other corporates like Bandarbabu Rayudu,Tamta Tatterjee, LD Sumarmami & Binmayi Jijayan came to support Airwind and after a few sound-bytes went back to grapple with their own problems.
Backroom lobbying happened and in a face-saving measure, Airwind held out the olive branch stating he would rein in his goons. The Chairman too directed the COO and other officials to play along with the CEO and the COO agreed.
Thus ended this chapter in the story of this union leader-turned-CEO. However the former CEO of Silly Inc. Leela Fixit took potshots at Airwind saying that as CEO he should study the Companies Act first before indulging in acts like this, as these were non-compliant in nature.
